The Name of the Game is a Killer DOMAIN!
Domain just defines all the devices that share a common part of the IP address; they are administered as a unit under common rules. Domain names are used to identify one or more IP addresses; it is the location of a website on the internet. When you search for a, DO NOT ignore the importance of choosing one; it is not difficult to see how large a role it plays in the marketing and growth of your business.
The fact is that having a domain name is the first step to your business’ or blog’s online identity, but there is more to that, which is choosing an artful and infectious domain name. Some persons advocate that one should include relevant keywords in the domain name to help rank high based on search engine marketing (SEM). Yet, others advocate that the domain name should be catchy, brand oriented and easy to remember. As an entrepreneur that aims at serious online marketing, there is the need that you should go for something that will make the populace to know you by your brand; this should be your secret weapon.
Having a artful (clever) domain name brings down to nothing, the difficulty in having your site visitors come back. Have you ever thought of how you memorized the name ‘Google’ or ‘Yahoo’? You virtually did not try to get it stuck in your head even for a day; that’s the trick! These sites are so easy and catchy to memorize and will surely get her visitors coming back repeatedly. It is hard to forget catchy and sharp names, as visitors will always remember them and come back for more treats.
One cannot overemphasize the power of choosing a catchy domain; sometimes the blogging business doesn’t work out as planned at the beginning. You might start with a specific niche with all determination, knowing what it takes to be a PRO in that niche; but in the long run, you might decide to make a switch to another niche due to one or more reasons. What happens then if you didn’t use a catchy domain name? This clears it all; catchy domain name allows for the easier switch to and from a niche.
In most scenarios, it is not easy to face the penalties of a search engine, and I believe that no one would want to stand the risk of search engine penalties. Over optimization at domain and URL levels are penalized, as there are filters that crack down on over-optimization. This strengthens the need to go for a artful and infectious domain name than rather go for a domain name stuffed with keywords.
It is important to know that a domain name can contribute to making or breaking your overall marketing performance. This underscores the fact that a domain name is vital in almost every niche site, and should be used to eke out the best in online marketing.
